After graduating from Kasturba Medical College (Manipal) in 2003, Dr. Mittal completed a one-year internship at Safdarjang Hospital (New Delhi) and General Hospital (Gurugram). He then served as Junior Resident in Emergency Medicine at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, for six months. This was followed by a six-year stint at St. Stephen's Hospital, New Delhi - the first three years as DNB (Medicine) Resident, and the remaining period as Senior Resident (Medicine). He then studied and trained at PSRI Hospital, New Delhi, for the DNB (Gastroenterology) title, which he was awarded in March 2014.
Dr. Amit Mittal worked as Junior Consultant in the Department of Gastroenterology at St. Stephen's Hospital from April 2014 onwards, before taking up his current position at Paras Hospitals.
